Today was the Multimedia Photography and Design department's first (hopefully soon-to-be annual) calligraphy workshop. RIT professor Lorrie Frear came to campus and schooled us in nibs, angles, and x-heights. In three hours we learned the Chancery Cursive lowercase alphabet.
It is definitely not as easy as it looks. But oddly soothing, once you get the hang of it and can start piecing words together.
Shout-out to Deb Pang Davis for organizing.
